According to incomplete statistics,in 2006, the annual number of renewable energy in our country amounted to 200 million ton standard coal. Comparing to 2005, 0.5% rised, approximately taking up 80% of our country energy expense. The development of our country renewable energy industry gets most of the concern of the world.

    The International Meeting of Solar Energy is going to be held from September 18 to 21st in Beijing.     It is reported that China has got a very rapid progress in the renewable energy industry in recent years, starting to bring into play in our country energy supply. In 2006, People's Republic of China Renewable Energy Law came to effect, which is the legal safeguard for the development of renewable energy industry. It's confirmed that in 2010 the renewable energy is going to take up 10% of national energy.

    Kong Li , the chairman of this International Solar Energy Meeting, introduced that, as the renewable energy industry developing, the International Solar Energy Meeting has got utmost attention in recent years. China won the bid of this meeting  in the multitudinous competition . This meeting covered the solar energy, mini Hydroelectric power, the Wind energy, the Biomass energy, the Geothermal energy and so on. The number of papers submiting in the meeting is more than 600. This meeting is the biggest one by far for the scale, the number of the papers, the participation enterprise number.
